Norway Center announces special events

NORWAY — The Norway Senior Center has announced its upcoming events for the month of January.

Schedule is as follows:

Today — Evening meal at 5 p.m. serving their famous company chicken, vegetables, mashed potatoes, and gravy, soup and salad bar and dessert. Soup and salad bar will open at 4 p.m.

Bingo will be played with prizes awarded. They will also hold a 50/50 drawing. Everyone is encouraged to sign up early.

Jan. 4 — Blood pressure clinic from 11 a.m. to noon.

Jan. 9 — Center board meeting at 10 a.m.

Jan. 10 — Welcome winter special dinner at noon. Menu will include pork roast, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, fruit, dessert and juice. There is also a soup and salad bar at 11 a.m. Bingo will be played following the meal with prizes given out. They will hold a 50/50.

Jan. 18 — Blood pressure clinic from 11 a.m. to noon

Jan. 18 — Noon meal featuring chicken rice casserole, carrots, fruit, juice, salad bar and dessert.

Jan. 18 — Evening meal at 5 p.m. with German items of pork schnitzel, braised red cabbage, and dessert. Soup and salad bar will be ready at 4 p.m.

Jan. 19 — Birthday Club celebration for those with January birthdays.

Jan. 23 — Michael Miller of the Office of Veterans Affairs will be at the center from 11:30 a.m. to noon.

Jan. 24 — January Thaw dinner at noon. There will be savory steak with mushrooms, mashed potatoes and gravy, peas and carrots, fruit, dessert and juice. Soup and salad bar is ready at 11 a.m.

Bingo will be played with prizes awarded. They will also hold a 50/50 drawing.

Meal donation is $5. Call the center at 563-8716 to make reservations.

Membership card is available at the front desk. Cost is only $5 to join the center.
