Bluegrass band to play in Norway

The Johnsons’ Bluegrass Band will perform at the Community Bible Chapel in Norway on Saturday.

NORWAY — The community is invited to a concert Saturday by the Johnsons’ Bluegrass Band at Community Bible Chapel of Norway. The event will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Sam, Hannah and Lydia Johnson began learning Bluegrass music in 2012 and since then have been studying, performing and recording it; their CD, “Bluegrass for Ireland,” has been released and they have been playing a series of promotional concerts in the U.P.

The CD contains traditional and original Bluegrass and Irish songs, and features mandolin, fiddle, banjo, guitar, pennywhistle and vocal harmonies, and will be for sale at the concert. Admission is free and all are welcome.
