‘Coin war’ at Norway High School
The NHS Key Club recently waged a coin war to raise money for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s 2016-2017 Pennies for Patients Program. A clear canister was set out for each of the grades 9 through 12. All coins would add to the total, and paper money would subtract from the total. After the coins were added, and the paper money was subtracted, the ninth-grade class had the highest total, which won them an ice cream treat. The total donation raised was $338.84.
