GFWC Women’s Club to award non-traditional student scholarship

IRON MOUNTAIN — The Iron Mountain-Kingsford GFWC Women’s Club will award a $1,000 scholarship to a non-traditional student attending Bay West College in Iron Mountain.

The local scholarship was formed from funds raised from the fall Gal-A-Rama event.

The student needs to be 22 years of age or older and must meet certain criteria, including a 2.5 or higher grade point average (GPA).

Applications may be obtained at Bay West College, online at www.imkgfwc.org or write to request a form to Iron Mountain-Kingsford Women’s Club, attention: Scholarship chairperson, P.O. Box 2823, Kingsford, MI 49802.

The deadline for applications is May 30.

Iron Mountain-Kingsford Women’s Club is a local, state and national affiliation club and is a true service organization open to all local women. The club was organized in 1912.
