NAMI group plans round-table discussion
MARQUETTE — National Alliance on Mental Illness-Alger/Marquette will host a round-table discussion to learn about public policy that affects the lives of those living with mental illness, and offer strategies for advocating on current legislation.
Anyone interested in advocating for better mental health care is invited to join the meeting at 7 p.m. Eastern time Monday in the Baraga Place conference room, 129 West Baraga Ave., Marquette.
Lucy Wilcox, clinical practices coordinator of NorthCare Network, and Kyle Rambo, executive director of Catholic Social Services of the UP, will lead this discussion.
The National Alliance on Mental Illness-Alger/Marquette offers confidential educational meetings for individuals living with mental illness, and friends or families living with an individual with mental illness.
