DCCT sets auditions for next production
KINGSFORD — Dickinson County Community Theatre announces auditions for “Dracula Retold,” a new presentation of Bram Stoker’s Dracula story.
Auditions will be 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, July 28, and 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 29, at 641 Brookfield St. in Kingsford.
Interested actors who are unable to audition on those dates can make special arrangement for an audition before July 28 by calling 906-774-9609.
Auditions will be hosted by Mark and Jan Miller and co-producer Jennifer Alwine.
The cast for “Dracula Retold” are five females and six males. The roles are for adults of varying ages.
Roles have from one to six scenes and from 10 to 309 lines. Cast members will include Bram Stoker; Dr. Abraham Van Helsing with his sidekick, Quincy Morris; Helga Hanninen, a Michigan Department of Natural Resources officer; vampires Lucretia and Countess Elizabeth Bathory; the Caminar (a tax collector); a waitress; Igor Renfield, servant at the Castle Bran, and his daughter Catherine; and Dracula.
“Dracula Retold” will be presented at the Braumart at 7 p.m. Oct. 12 through 14 and 2 p.m. Oct 15.
Tickets are $12 at the door. On Saturday, Oct. 14, patrons in Halloween costume gets a $2 discount.
