AAUW Christmas party set for Dec. 12
IRON MOUNTAIN — The Iron Mountain-Kingsford Branch of American Association for University Women will meet for its annual Christmas party Tuesday, Dec. 12, at the Chippewa Club in Iron Mountain.
The social hour will begin at 5 p.m., followed by dinner at 5:30 p.m. The dinner will include a salad with celery, apples, cranberries, candied walnuts and crumbled feta with a spice vinaigrette; and roasted pork loin marsala with poached baby potatoes. The vegetarian meal option is vegetable risotto. The dessert is dark chocolate mousse with strawberry coulis.
Activities of the evening include a Christmas drawing and a holiday beverage live auction. All proceeds from the evening will be used for scholarships for women in the community.
