IRON MOUNTAIN — Borderland Arts Group will host its Christmas party at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, at Maple Creek Restaurant, 1052 S. Stephenson Ave. in Iron Mountain.

Members new and old are invited to be part of a handmade ornament exchange, which is an optional part of the party.

Ornaments can be as simple or intricate as you feel comfortable making. Please wrap the ornament if you make one for the exchange.

The group will draw random numbers to distribute the ornaments during the party.

“This should be fun and exciting to see all the different ideas from such a diverse group,” spokeswoman Elizabeth Early said. “No one will be disappointed.”

Members have a wide range of talents, including painting, drawing, wood working, computer graphics, writing and printmaking.

Dinner will be ordered off the menu, with individuals responsible for their own bill. Spouses or significant others are welcome.

The club will conduct a short meeting to discuss 2017 accomplishments and a general plan for 2018. Bring along any ideas for classes or projects.

Attendees can make reservations on the Borderland Arts’ Facebook page.
