Noon meal planned Jan. 2 at Norway Center

NORWAY — The Norway Senior Center has announced its special activities for the month of January.

Monday — The center will be closed.

Tuesday — New Year’s special dinner at noon with ham, scalloped potatoes, squash, soup and salad bar, fruit, juice and dessert. Bingo with prizes will be played, along with a 50/50 drawing.

Jan. 3 — Blood pressure clinic, 11 a.m. to noon.

Jan. 8 — Noon meal, with tater tot casserole, peas, salad bar, fruit, juice and dessert.

Jan. 8 — Evening meal at 5 p.m. with company chicken dinner, mashed potatoes and gravy, vegetables, soup and salad bar and dessert. Bingo with prizes will be played, along with a 50/50 drawing.

Jan. 17 — Blood pressure clinic, 11 a.m. to noon.

Jan. 17 — Noon meal with pizza burger, tater tots, peas and carrots, salad bar, fruit, juice and dessert.

Jan. 17 — Evening meal at 5 p.m. with barbecue ribs, mashed potatoes and gravy, vegetables, and soup and salad bar available at 4 p.m. Dessert will also be served. Bingo with prizes will be played, along with a 50/50 drawing.

Jan. 18 — Thursday birthday club. Anyone who is having a birthday in January is invited to the center to enjoy dinner featuring breaded pork chops, mashed potatoes and gravy, winter blend vegetables, and soup and salad bar. They also will serve birthday cake and those celebrating a birthday will have their photo taken for their board of fame.

Jan. 23 — Snow days special dinner, with lasagna, broccoli, garlic toast, fruit, juice and dessert. Bingo with prizes will be played, along with a 50/50 drawing.

Everyone is asked to make reservations early by calling the center at 906-563-8716. Suggested meal donations are $5.

Center membership cards for 2018 are available for $5 and payable at the front desk. Membership allows a voice and a vote in center decisions.
