Bay West LIFE meets Thursday
IRON MOUNTAIN — It seems like the conservation district has been around forever. But who are they and what do they do? The public is invited to learn more at the Bay West LIFE meeting at 10 a.m. Thursday at the college campus in Iron Mountain.
Guest speaker will be Amanda Nelson, conservation district manager for the past two years. A Kingsford native, Nelson has a bachelor of science in environmental study and sustainability from Northern Michigan University. She will discuss “What the Conservation District Does For You.”
Bay West LIFE is a group that believes in lifelong learning. They meet on the second Thursday of each month. There is no charge for any of the presentations and visitors are always welcome.
