Florence Parish Announces Special Events

FLORENCE, Wis. — The Florence Parish, which is a partnership in Christian Ministry between the First Presbyterian and Bethlehem Lutheran Churches, invites members, friends, and visitors to our area to join in “Worship in the Park” at 10 a.m. Sunday at the Lake Emily pavilion.

The Rev. Doug Johnson will lead this service and also provide guitar accompaniment for the hymns. There will also be a time of fellowship, coffee and refreshments after worship. Everyone is reminded to bring a lawn chair.

There will be no services at either church that morning.

Everyone is also welcome to “Come to Supper” from 5 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 27 at the Presbyterian Church in Florence. They will serve a free meal complete with dessert and beverages and a time for fellowship.

The Parish Sunday School is set to resume under the leadership of Tina Rittenhouse at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 9 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Florence. All children 3 years of age through sixth grade are welcome. It will be helpful for planning supplies, if you contact Rev. Johnson at 715-528-4851 to enroll your children
