MARQUETTE — The sixth annual Archaeology Fair is planned from noon to 3 p.m. Eastern time Saturday, Oct. 20, at the Marquette Regional History Center.

International Archaeology Day is celebrated throughout the world on this day.

The public can spend an afternoon learning about archaeology through hands-on activities, demonstrations, artifacts and displays at many interactive booths throughout the entire museum. Participants can meet regional experts and see what is being discovered in the Upper Peninsula.

This year they will feature two outdoor demonstrations.

This is an open house event and great for families, clubs, scouts and people of all ages.

The fair is included with the cost of general museum admission. Prices are $7 for adults, $6 for seniors, $3 for student and $ for ages 12 and younger.

The History Center is at 145 W. Spring St. in Marquette.
