Bell ringers needed in Florence County
FLORENCE, Wis. — The Salvation Army Red Kettle campaign will soon be underway in Florence County, organized said.
When those familiar Red Kettles have a friendly person standing by, generous contributions get into the kettles. To help, volunteer to be a bell-ringer individually, as a group or organization, or as a family.
Volunteers can sign up for an hour or two as their schedules permit. Time passes quickly and it is fun to greet friends and neighbors while helping the Salvation Army, which in turn helps others.
Organizers are grateful that once again, the Riverside Liquor and Party Store in Spread Eagle, Pat’s Foods in Florence and the Aurora BP/Liquor Store have agreed to have bell- ringers at their businesses.
In order to make this year’s Red Kettle Campaign a success, they need volunteers. To volunteer, call coordinator Karen Wertanen at 715-528-4744.
Funds are used in Florence County to provide direct, local emergency assistance not only at Christmas time but throughout the year.
Donations for the Salvation Army also can be sent to Great North Bank, P. O. Box 500, Florence WI 54121.
