NIAGARA, Wis. — The Niagara Lions Club recently hosted six Niagara students who attended Badger Boys and Girls State this past summer.

For many years the Lions, plus sponsors the American Legion and Auxiliary, have provided financial support so more Niagara students can attend and benefit by this citizenship experience for youth.

The students recently were guests of the Lions at a dinner at Mike’s on Main in Norway, which also was attended by the students’ parents and representatives of the Cretton-Tutas American Legion Post 136 and Auxiliary.

After a buffet dinner, the students told of their experiences last summer at Badger State.

Sydney Dunkes, current Miss Niagara, also was a guest of the Lions. The Lions Club has sponsored Miss Niagara since 1968.
