40/8 donates to Bay College Allied Health Program

ESCANABA – Local organization 40/8 Voiture 663 recently donated more than $3,700 to purchase intravenous infusion pumps to be used by Bay College students pursing a degree or certificate in Allied Health. IV pumps are used to infuse fluids, giving students training and experience with programming and managing tubing before they begin working in a health care setting.

“This donation will help students at Bay College in our Allied Health programs,” said Linda Lewandowski, dean of Allied Health. “With changes in technology, it’s hard to keep up with the most current equipment for training purposes. This donation will allow us to purchase IV pumps similar to the ones used in actual health care facilities, thus making our students even more prepared for real-life situations. It’s so nice to have organizations in our community that believe in Bay College and support our mission of student success.”
