Travel club adds Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo to Canadian Maritimes trip

IRON MOUNTAIN — The On the Road Again Travel Group recently met in February to discuss their upcoming trip in July. The group has decided to add the opportunity to attend the Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo to its Canadian Maritimes — Nova Scotia to Prince Edward Island tour in July.

The Tattoo is a two and a half hour show of world class entertainment consisting of bagpipes, highland dancers, contemporary dancing, and modern music.

A highlight of the 2019 Celebrating the Power of Peace performance will be the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard Drill Team’s precision drill routine.

This addition will be July 3-4, while the remainder of the tour will run from July 5-13.

During this section of the tour, the group will dive into the culture and seaside beauty of the Canadian Maritimes. While there, the travelers will experience rural scenery and rugged coastal landscapes, journeying off the beaten path to discover one of Canada’s most storied regions.

The group will uncover immigrant history, fascinating Acadian culture, and the tranquil lifestyles of quaint fishing villages as they travel through Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island. They will also explore the Bay of Fundy and visit the Anne of Green Gables Museum.

There will have the opportunity to fly to St. John’s, Newfoundland, visit Cape Spear, which is the most easterly point in North America, and hop aboard a whale watching ship.

For more information, call 906-271-1040 or 906-563-9408.

Seats are filling quickly and that final payment is due by April 26.
