IRON MOUNTAIN — In celebration of their 130th anniversary, employees of First National Bank & Trust gathered together a collection of approximately 150 favorite recipes from past and present employees and created an Anniversary Cookbook that was sold at each of the bank’s seven locations.

The employees raised more than $4,500, which will be distributed to food pantries within each community.

One of the benefactors of this fundraising project is the Trinity United Methodist Food Program, 808 Carpenter Ave. in Kingsford.

A dedicated group of volunteers have been planning, shopping, preparing the facility, cooking and serving approximately 120 people from 5 to 6 p.m. every Wednesday for nearly 18 years. There are no requirements for their meal guests; they serve anyone who wants a meal and companionship.

The program is always looking for donations and volunteers. Monetary donations also are welcome and will be used to supplement the food inventory, as the weekly Feeding America truck no longer services the local area.
