M.J. Electric appoints Farrington as president

IRON MOUNTAIN – M.J. Electric LLC (MJE) has announced that Edward Farrington has been appointed the fourth president since the company’s inception.

Since 1959, MJE has grown quietly from a local contractor into a nationally recognized electrical construction firm with offices in eight states.

Employed by MJE for 35 years, Farrington has worked with all three prior presidents – Warren Brule, David Brule, and finally Stephen J. Reiten, who served as president since 2002.

“The opportunity to work with and learn from the original owners will be invaluable to carry on their founding principles. Remembering where we came from keeps us grounded as we move into the unprecedented opportunities of the future,” said Farrington.

Reiten has accepted the position of executive vice-president for Quanta Services, M.J. Electric, LLC’s parent company effective Sept. 1.

“I consider myself fortunate for having had the opportunity to serve as the third president of M. J. Electric. We have achieved significant business growth during my time in this role, which will continue well into the future under Ed’s leadership,” said Reiten.

“I am excited about where M. J. Electric is today and our talented people who will enable us to succeed well into the future,” said Farrington.

Serving customers nationwide for more than 50 years, MJE provides comprehensive electrical construction services specializing in utility, electrical, and instrumentation construction and maintenance.
