Moyle recognized for project in Menominee

HOUGHTON – At the annual Excellence in Construction Awards program recently held in Grand Rapids, Moyle Construction was awarded first place for the Enstrom Helicopter Corporation Addition and Renovation project in Menominee.

The project received the top award in the category of renovations and additions projects in the $5 to $10 million dollar range.

The Excellence in Construction Awards program is designed to publicly recognize the quality and innovation of construction projects in Michigan. Moyle Construction was notified it was one of three finalists for the award and Moyle personnel were on hand for the ceremony and to receive the first place award.

The award winning project consisted of 160,000 square feet of additions and renovations to the Enstrom Helicopter facility. Moyle Construction provided design-build services for the $7.8 million dollar project which was required to facilitate Enstrom’s increased production goals. Design and construction was completed in an impressive nine month time frame and production at the facility was maintained throughout the project.

With the first place award Moyle Construction is now eligible for the Associated Builders and Contractors national competition. The national awards will be presented in March of 2015.

Moyle Construction is based in Houghton and has been serving Michigan and Wisconsin for over three decades. Services offered included general contracting, construction management and design-build services.
