Beginning farmers workshop in Escanaba

ESCANABA — A workshop designed for beginning farmers to provide an introduction for working with U.S. Department of Agriculture to access Farm Bill programs will be 4 to 7 p.m. Eastern time Friday at the Delta County MSU Extension Office, 2840 College Ave. in Escanaba.

Special programs for beginning farmers, veterans, low-income producers, tribal members and farmers of color will be highlighted.

It will also inform producers about free resources to help support farm development and access USDA programs including the Natural Resources Conservation Service’s Environmental Quality Incentives Program.
