IMKCFCU honors employee volunteers
KINGSFORD — Iron Mountain-Kingsford Community Federal Credit Union recently recognized its employee Volunteer of the Year for 2017 plus two runner-ups.
Lydia Krivanek, 2017 Volunteer of the Year, logged 205 hours, many of them making catnip eggs for the Almost Home Animal Shelter. Other opportunities included 100-Plus Women Who Care, the Florence County Fair and the American Red Cross blood drive. She has logged 2,525 volunteer hours in the past six years.
Carrie Valine, second runner-up, put in 66.25 volunteer hours in 2017, with much of her work connected to the UP Fireman’s Tournament. Her efforts also included the Aurora Mudd Runs, Bras for a Cause and the CU Kids Christmas Tree.
First runner-up was Lori Lejeune, not pictured, who had 130 hours volunteering for the Light at the Inn program in the community.
