Great North Bank adds Ferguson as controller


FLORENCE, Wis. — Great North Bank has hired Sara Ferguson as financial controller for its banks.

Ferguson is a certified public accountant with more than 10 years of experience and most recently was a CPA with Anderson, Tackman & Company in Iron Mountain.

“She will help us to enhance our controls as we continue to grow and prepare for the future,” said Tom Wittkopf, bank president and CEO.

Great North Bank has now added significant strength to its operations. In addition to adding strength to accounting, Ferguson will serve as a member of the Great North Bank Management Team.

Ferguson has spent eight years in management positions. Her work has included auditing, consulting and taxation and she has experience with governmental clients, individuals, and small businesses.

Before joining Anderson, Tackman & Company, she worked for the accounting firm KPMG in Minneapolis.

Ferguson has a bachelor of science-accounting and corporate finance degree from Northern Michigan University. She is affiliated with both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants.
