VA center honors nurses

During National Nurses Week from May 6 to 12, the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center presented four nurses with the 2018 Administrator’s Award for Excellence in Nursing. Linda Haleen, second from left, works in Quality Management and received the Administrative Registered Nurse Award. Bonnie Moore, center, from the Outpatient Lab, received the Nursing Assistant Award. Robin Rappley, second from right, is in the Urgent Care Clinic and received the Registered Nurse Award. At far left is Jim Rice, medical center director, and at far right is Andrea Collins, RN, associate director for Nursing and Patient Care. The medical center employs more than 200 nurses at its main Iron Mountain facility and seven community outpatient clinics across the Upper Peninsula and northern Wisconsin.
