Children’s Hospital foundation board taps IR native
DETROIT — Iron River native Ryan Ruzziconi has been appointed to its Board of Trustees for the Children’s Hospital of Michigan Foundation.
Ruzziconi was vice president and general counsel at Flint, Michigan-based Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy Inc., building and leading the company’s legal, human resources and compliance departments before taking the company public on the New York Stock Exchange in October 2014.

Burns, president and CEO of the Children’s Hospital of Michigan Foundation. “His widespread community service and development experience fits perfectly into the foundation’s work of improving the health and wellness of children.”

After graduating from West Iron County High School in 1994, Ruzziconi graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and Marquette University Law School.
Ruzziconi also serves in multiple capacities for an array of different organizations, including the United States Tennis Association Midwest Division Board – Nominating Committee, and the USTA Midwest Tennis and Education Foundation. Previously, he served on the board of directors of The Neighbor’s Place, the largest food pantry in central Wisconsin.
The Children’s Hospital of Michigan Foundation is dedicated to supporting the health and wellness of children through fundraising, grantmaking and advocacy.
