SNBT offers sessions on understanding credit reports

MARINETTE, Wis. — Credit scores affect many aspects of life, including interest rates on large purchases, obtaining loans, renting an apartment and even applying for a job.

Keeping a close eye can also help prevent identity theft.

All are reasons why The Stephenson National Bank & Trust plans to host six Let’s Talk About Understanding Your Credit Report discussions.

SNBT bankers will lead open conversations to help consumers understand their credit report and how to utilize it.

The program is free and open to the public. Topics will include reviewing for identity theft, understanding good and bad inquiries, how to use a credit score, and more.

The sessions will be at:

— Pembine at N18630 Highway 141 from 4 to 5 p.m. Tuesday.

— Wausaukee at 704 Main St. from 4 to 5 p.m. Wednesday.

— Crivitz at 606 Henriette Ave. from 4 to 5 p.m. Thursday.

— Oconto at 101 Bralick Way from 4 to 5 p.m. Aug. 21.

–Menominee at 1111 10th St. from 4 to 5 p.m. Aug. 22.

–Marinette at 1820 Hall Ave. from 4 to 5 p.m. Aug. 23.
