Van Osdol joins Great North Bank in Aurora as market president

AURORA, Wis. — Kim Van Osdol has been added as a market president at Great North Bank in Aurora.

Van Osdol most recently was senior vice president of business services with Community First Credit Union in Appleton, Wis. He has more than four decades of experience in the banking industry, mostly at the executive level, including 25 years with Michigan Financial Corporation.

“We are confident that Kim’s leadership will further our mission as a family owned and independent bank,” said Tom Wittkopf, Great North Bank president and CEO. “He brings a depth of knowledge and expertise.”

Van Osdol primarily will focus on customers in the southern Upper Peninsula and northern Wisconsin, an area he is familiar with, having owned a home in Norway.

Market President Matt Nord will concentrate on the northern Upper Peninsula, though there will be plenty of collaboration and crossover.

“I enjoy helping businesses and people succeed,” Van Osdol said. “My 42 years of commercial, financial and community leadership experience has been focused on listening and building relationships.”

Established in 1891, Great North Bank is a family-owned, independent community bank that primarily serves Wisconsin and upper Michigan. Great North Bank works with a variety of businesses, including timber, wood products, forestry, manufacturing, transportation and more.
