Aquatics center at Young’s reopens after construction

THE AQUATICS CENTER at Young’s in Iron River has reopened after being closed for several months for construction.

IRON RIVER — After months of construction, Young’s Golf-Recreation-Dining has reopened its aquatics center.

The improvements are part of a long-term plan to update and improve Young’s facilities.

The aquatics center offers a large lap pool for exercise with a shallow area for small children, a jacuzzi, and a sauna.

Men and women’s locker rooms with showers and lockers for rent also are available.

Young’s has plans to offer swim lessons and teach every third-grader in Iron County how to swim. The facility is looking for lifeguards and swim instructors and will provide training and cover other costs to certify instructors.

Young’s Aquatics also offers aqua aerobics classes for adults and is often used for birthday parties. The pool can be accessed with a daily pass or membership, with different types of memberships available for individuals and families.
