Kingsford moves on

The Kingsford Flivvers played the Mid-Peninsula Wolverines in the first round of High School Bowl and won by a score of 390-30. Forty schools from the Upper Peninsula and northern Wisconsin field teams for Public TV 13’s High School Bowl tournament, now celebrating 39 years on the air. Kingsford will advance to the second round when they play Dollar Bay in Game 20, scheduled to air on Jan. 28. Representing Kingsford, seated from left, are players Ian Driscoll, Bruce Bilgreen, team captain Joe Sturm and Jonah Lerman. Standing are alternates Justin Lanthier and Ren Thorne with Coach Colleen Driscoll.
