Deer habitat grants available
LANSING, Mich. (AP) — Deer habitat improvement grants are available for Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.
March 1 is the deadline to apply for the $100,000 in funding through the Deer Habitat Improvement Partnership Initiative, the state Department of Natural Resources said.
The grants, which can range from $2,000 to $15,000, are to enhance deer habitat on non-state lands in the U.P.
