Candlelight snowshoe, ski event at Niagara Riverside Trails Saturday
NIAGARA, Wis. — The Niagara Area Business Association (NABA) will hold a cross country ski and snowshoe event starting at 5:45 p.m. for skiers and 6:15 p.m. for snowshoers at the Niagara Riverside Trails in Niagara.
The event features two loops lit by candlelight, but organizers suggest participants also bring a head lamp for a boost of light in some areas. There will also be a bonfire, hot dogs and hot drinks as well as a warm-up shack with hot drinks and snacks along both routes and 500 luminaries instead of 300 that were planned.
“We are so excited to be able to host this event again. Last year, there were more than 150 that attended and we are hoping for an even larger turnout,” noted Daniel Freeman, NABA member.
Registration is available online at Active.com. There is also a printable registration form at niagarawi.biz. The cost is $15 a person on the day of the event.
Support for the event has come from Dickinson Area Community Foundation, Maryhill of Niagara, Spine Pain Diagnostics Associates, M Bank of Niagara, Back N Balance Chiropractic and Uptown Lanes.
Proceeds from the event will go towards maintenance for the Niagara Riverside Trails and the community.
NABA is a group of businesses that work to support and enhance the local community.
