‘Oak Island’ special tonight to close season
IRON MOUNTAIN — A fascinating find is promised in tonight’s season finale of “The Curse of Oak Island,” a History show that follows the exploits of Kingsford brothers Rick and Marty Lagina as they search for buried treasure off the coast of Nova Scotia, Canada.
The series, which premiered in January 2014, is now in its fourth season.
“Every year we seem to get this weird, weird break of a find before the end of the season, which is all I can tell you,” series producer Kevin Burns said in a recent interview with Local Xpress of Nova Scotia and Halifax. “That’s why we literally went from a one-hour finale to a two-hour finale because the material we got was so incredible.”
Tonight’s episode airs at 8 p.m. on History.
It is not yet known if the show will return for a fifth season.
