Man accused of vehicle assault

IRON RIVER — A 35-year-old man is expected to be arraigned today after being arrested Saturday for reportedly trying to assault others with his vehicle, authorities said.

Few other details were immediately available from the Iron River Police Department on the reported assault. The man, whose name was not released, later was stopped by Lac Vieux Desert Tribal Police on U.S. 2 near Watersmeet, then turned over to Iron River police Saturday.

He faces two counts of felonious assault and an additional charge of malicious destruction of property, according to Iron River police.
