U.S. 141 in Crivitz re-opens
MARINETTE, Wis. — No injuries or cargo spills were reported during a train car derailment Monday morning in the village of Crivitz, Wis., Marinette County Sheriff Jerry Sauve said.
Train cars derailed about 8 a.m. Monday at U.S. 141, just south of County Road W.
Highway traffic was detoured onto South Street, St. Paul Road and then County Road W until the railway was able to move the cars off the road about 9:15 a.m., Sauve said.
Local fire departments, the Crivitz Police Department, Crivitz Public Works Department, and Marinette County Highway Commission assisted the sheriff’s department.
