Three arrested in Iron Mountain
IRON MOUNTAIN — Three people with outstanding warrants were taken into custody in Iron Mountain early today — two of them with the aid of the local Critical Incidents Response Team.
According to Iron Mountain Police Department, while on patrol at 12:05 a.m., officers observed a man and woman walking in the area of Carpenter and Woodward avenues. Both ran off, officers said.
A 21-year-old woman was detained and later lodged at the Dickinson County Correctional Center on an outstanding bench warrant out of Delta County, police said. The second subject was located inside a residence at 1234 S. Milwaukee Ave.
It was learned that the 28-year-old man, who initially ran from officers, was wanted out of Outagamie County, Wis., on a felony warrant, said Ed Mattson, director of Iron Mountain Police and Fire Services. It was also determined that a 23-year-old man was in the house and wanted on four outstanding bench warrants out of Menominee County.
A search warrant was drafted with the assistance of the Dickinson County Prosecutor Lisa Richards. The search warrant was drafted due to the fact that all the occupants of the house refused to answer the door, Mattson said.
CIRT was activated and responded to the scene. The team made entry into the residence at 5:15 a.m., taking the two remaining subjects into custody, Mattson said.
Two other occupants of the residence were detained and released at the scene.
