Crandon officer ruled justified in fatal shooting

CRANDON, Wis. (AP) — A Crandon police officer was justified in the fatal shooting of a robbery suspect, the Forest County district attorney has ruled.

DA Chuck Simono said an investigation showed Dexter Baxter had Officer Ryan Wilson in a choke hold Oct. 22 and the officer was on the verge of passing out, according to WLUK-TV. The report said Wilson told Baxter to stop or he would be shot. The officer then shot Baxter three times.
