IMFD responds to call on Wednesday
IRON MOUNTAIN — Iron Mountain firefighters were called at 3:37 p.m. Wednesday to an apartment on the 300 block of South Stephenson Avenue for a possible carbon monoxide issue.
Firefighters determined a smoke detector was sounding because it had a bad battery. They checked for carbon monoxide as a precaution and found no problems.
Firefighters replaced the smoke detector battery before returning to the station at 3:55 p.m.
