Winter market opens today in IM
IRON MOUNTAIN – The Iron Mountain Farmer’s & Artisan’s Winter Market will be held every second Saturday of the month beginning today, through April, from 9 a.m. to noon.
The market is held at the Iron Mountain School’s Izzo-Mariucci Center on the corner of Carpenter and West A Street . It is managed and operated by the Farmer’s Market Executive Committee under the auspices of Iron Mountain DDA/Main Street.
The market’s produce vendors have a wide variety of fresh greens, onions, potatoes, squash, pumpkins and other winter vegetables. Vendors have baked goods, maple syrup, gluten free goods, organic cheese, eggs, jam, apples, and meat.
Artists and crafters have a variety of high quality products available for sale.
“The vendors are all looking forward to being indoors for the winter,” said Market Manager Nancy Schaub. “We hope the public comes down to get their Thanksgiving veggies and treats. We also have a lot of fine handmade gift items for those doing some early Christmas shopping or buying a hostess gift for the holidays.”
Prospective vendors must apply for space. There is a charge to sell at the market.
Interested farmer or artist vendors, performers, or service organizations wanting to participate in the market or citizens seeking additional information, please contact the Iron Mountain Farmer’s and Artisan’s Market at 774-4002 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
