Two Kingsford teens die in M-95 crash

IRON MOUNTAIN — Two Kingsford teens were killed in a head-on crash Saturday morning on M-95 in Sagola Township, said state police at the Iron Mountain post.

The victims were Taylor Bosley, 18, and Jolene Treml, 17, occupants of a northbound vehicle that collided with a southbound vehicle near the Marquette County line.

The second vehicle was occupied by Steven Anderson, 46, and Julie Anderson, 40, along with two of their children, troopers said. The Andersons were transported to UP Health System- Marquette for treatment of injuries.

The crash occurred at about 10:49 a.m. when Bosley’s northbound vehicle lost control and crossed the center line, troopers said.

Bosley and Treml were pronounced dead at the scene. Speed and weather conditions are considered to be factors in the crash, troopers said. All persons involved were wearing seatbelts.

Assisting at the scene were the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office, STAR Ambulance, Beacon Ambulance, Integrity Care EMS, Sagola Township Fire Department and Republic Township Fire and Rescue.
