Dog found shot, injured in Iron County

IRON MOUNTAIN — Iron Mountain Michigan State Police troopers are seeking the person or people responsible for shooting and abandoning a pit bull early Thursday in Iron County’s Mansfield Township.

The dog, which is about 2 years old and black with a white muzzle, was treated for its wounds at the Four Seasons Animal Hospital in Iron River, troopers said.

It had been abandoned in the area of Old 69 Road and M-69 after being shot and suffering other injuries, troopers said.
