A great weekend for jumping

AT OPENING CEREMONIES Saturday, Aksel Hutchinson, Samson Hutchinson, Alice Hall, Nolan Hall, Dylan Fortier, Jake Fredrickson, Domenic Fredrickson, Logan Johnson, Jackson Fox, Payton Litchernan and Noella Litchernan carry the flags of all of the countries that participated in the 2018 Bellin Health Pine Mountain Continental Cup competition in Iron Mountain. Samson Hutchinson stands with the American flag during the ceremony. An estimated 15,000 turned out to cheer on the competition Saturday and Sunday at Giant Pine Mountain. Conditions were near perfect for the annual competition, which drew 41 jumpers from 10 nations. Two from Norway took the top spot each day, Marius Lindvik on Saturday and Halvor Egner Granerud on Sunday.
