ServSafe class offered

IRON RIVER–Michigan State University Extension will be offering a ServSafe class in Iron River to educate food service managers about food safety practices.

Training classes are taught by MSU Extension educators who are certified instructors and exam proctors through the National Restaurant Association.

The class will be held from 9 a.m. to approximately 5 p.m. on Wednesday, May 2, at the Windsor Center, 612 W. Adams St., Iron River.

Participants must also purchase the ServSafe 7th edition book with answer sheet, which is necessary to attend the class.

ServSafe is a food protection manager certification examination accredited by the American National Standards Institute-Conference for Food Protection.
