Farmers market on Saturday in IM
IRON MOUNTAIN– The Iron Mountain Farmers & Artisans Summer Market will be held each Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon through Oct. 13.
The market is located across from the Dickinson County Library and is managed Nancy Schaub in cooperation with the Farmer’s Market Executive committee under the auspices of the Downtown Development Authority. The public is asked to refrain from being in market area before 8 a.m. to give vendors a chance to set up their products safely.
“We have some new vendors this year as well as most of our vendors from last year,” Schaub said. “This year we have set up our own website at ironmountainfarmersmarket.com.”
There are plants available for gardeners. Fresh cut greens, rhubarb, early strawberries, zucchini, fresh herbs, eggs, meat, jam, and maple syrup are available, in addition to locally produced crafts, art and baked goods.
Space may still be available for those wishing to sell locally grown produce and plants. Artist and crafters producing unique products from natural or organic materials are encouraged to join other vendors at the market.
Vendors are required to submit a completed application for the Market Committee to review. There is a cost to join the market. I
