North Dickinson OKs contracts for administrators

FELCH TOWNSHIP — The North Dickinson County School Board on Monday learned its top administrators have been working for the past year without a contract.

A Freedom of Information Act request to see those two-year agreements for the superintendent/principal, finance/athletic director and director of support services revealed all three pacts had expired last year, Superintendent/Principal Angel Inglese told the board.

The board voted unanimously to extend those contracts for fiscal year 2019 and 2020 at an annual salary of $66,326 for Inglese as superintendent/principal; $48,426 for Mike Roell as finance/athletic director; and $48,426 for Darrell Oman as director of support systems. Oman’s wife, board member Lynn Oman, abstained from voting on his contract.

In other business, the board:

— Authorized Darrell Oman to purchase a 2019 Ford F-250 pickup truck from Town & Country Sales of Quinnesec for $27,822. The four-year loan will be at 4 percent, with $628 per month payments to start in November. Town & Country had the low bid of three submitted.

— Set the 2018-19 calendar, with the school year to start Aug. 27.
