Dickinson County Sheriff Rutter issues monthly report for July

IRON MOUNTAIN — Dickinson County Sheriff Scott Rutter has issued his monthly report for July.

The road patrol served 201 civil process papers, investigated 152 complaints, handled 24 accidents, issued 36 citations and 144 verbal warnings, made 26 arrests — five of which were for outstanding warrants, completed 163 property checks, and transported six inmates — including two prison transports and one mental health transport.

The correctional center had 120 bookings, with an average daily booking of four and an average daily population of 69.

The dispatch center handled 687 911 calls, 3,360 non-911 calls, 1,442 calls for law enforcement service, 252 calls for ambulance service, and 67 calls for fire service.

Individuals assigned to the sheriff’s work van logged 285 hours for the month working at the Dickinson-Iron Community Services Agency, sheriff’s office and courthouse, Dickinson County landfill, YMCA, Michigan Welcome Center, Almost Home Animal Shelter, Pine Mountain, Feed America, Ford Airport, Salvation Army, Ranger baseball field, Veterans Affairs department, Iron Mountain Cemetery, Lake Antoine Park, Badwater area, Michigan State Police Post, St. Vincent de Paul, Veterans Memorial, Iron Mountain fishing pier, Felch area, and Cowboy Lake.
