Niagara parent-teacher conferences on Oct. 25-26

NIAGARA, Wis. — School District of Niagara parent-teacher conferences for grades 4K-12 will be held Thursday, Oct. 25, from 1 to 7 p.m. There will be no school for grades 4K-12 Friday, Oct. 26.

Junior high and high school conferences (grades 6-12) will be on Oct. 25 and will be held in individual teacher’s classrooms and often last 15 minutes. At the conclusion of the conference, parents may go and meet with other teachers. Childcare will be available beginning at 1 p.m. in the Badger Care room 123 while parents are at conferences.

To schedule a junior high or high school conference, parents are requested to call the high school office: 715-251-4541. You may sign up with two teachers. Parents unable to call are asked to please send a note with your child or email your child’s teacher indicating the time you would like to schedule a conference for another day, please email your child’s teacher to arrange a time.

In order to schedule a conference for students in grades 4K-4, parents are asked to return the conference request form that was sent home with your child.

Conferences for students in grade 5 will be held in the instructor’s classroom. Mrs. Swanson, Mrs. Sternhagen, Ms. Wagener and Mr. Derwinski will be available by appointment, with conferences lasting 15 minutes for each child. To schedule a conference, parents are asked to call the high school office: 715-251-4541.

Principal Scott Trevillian emphasized the importance of parent involvement in the education of their children. Conferences are an excellent opportunity to meet with staff members, review individual student needs, and offer suggestions or comments that will benefit all students in the School District of Niagara.
