Winter market Saturday in IM

Vegetables, baked goods, maple syrup, crafts to be available

IRON MOUNTAIN – The Iron Mountain Farmer’s & Artisan’s Winter Market will be held Saturday and Dec. 8 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Iron Mountain School’s Izzo-Mariucci Center on the corner of Carpenter and West A Street.

In 2019 there will be indoor markets from March through May the second Saturday of each month. The market is managed and operated by the Farmer’s Market Executive Committee under the auspices of Iron Mountain Downtown Development Authority/Main Street.

The market’s produce vendors have a wide variety of fresh greens, onions, potatoes, squash, pumpkins and other winter vegetables. Vendors have baked goods, maple syrup, eggs, jam, apples, cider, and meat. Artists and crafters have a variety of quality products available for sale.

“We hope the public comes down to get their Thanksgiving veggies and treats,” said Market Manager Nancy Schaub. “We also have a lot of fine handmade gift items for those doing some early Christmas shopping or buying a hostess gift for the holidays.”

Prospective vendors must apply for space. There is a charge to sell at the market. Interested farmer or artist vendors, performers, or service organizations wanting to participate in the market or citizens seeking additional information, please contact the Iron Mountain Farmer’s and Artisan’s Market at 906- 774-9223 or go to ironmountainfarmersmarket.com for vendor information.
