Plane enroute to IM crashes in Wisconsin

KESHENA, Wis. — Four people had injuries believed not to be life-threatening after a small plane en route to Iron Mountain crashed late Saturday morning in Wisconsin’s Menominee County.

The single-engine plane crash was reported about 11:28 a.m. on County Highway M about a quarter-mile east of State Highway 55, the Menominee County Sheriff’s Office stated in a news release.

The pilot and one back-seat passenger were transported to medical facilities for their injuries, according to the sheriff’s department. No names have been released.

The initial investigation revealed the pilot and crew had left the Waupaca area heading to Iron Mountain. The crash remains under investigation.
