Kay M. Cleveland

IRON MOUNTAIN — Kay M. Cleveland, 58, of Iron Mountain, entered eternal rest with Jesus on Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017.

She was born Oct. 10, 1958, in Iron Mountain, daughter of the late Adolph Clemence and Kathleen (Tisland) Freeman. Kay attended Hilltop Elementary School in Aurora, Wis., and graduated from Florence High School in 1976.

She met the love of her life, Randy Cleveland and they were married on June 1, 1985, at the First Covenant Church. Kay and Randy spent 31 wonderful years together and their devotion to each other was a true testimony of love between a husband and wife. Kay worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Pultz in Niagara for the last 20 years and loved her job. She and Randy also formed a DJ and video transfer business named, “Magic Moments,” which they have operated for the past 7 years.

Kay played the mandolin and had a great gift for music. Her sense of humor and story-telling ability would always bring the room to laughter. She had a beautiful smile and a caring spirit that always had compassion for others in need.

Kay was a great cook and she enjoyed fishing, bird watching, camping and downhill skiing in her younger years. She loved to collect anything “strawberry” and had many plates, cups and other strawberry collectables. One of her last great joys was going with her son, Carl, to watch her favorite team, the Green Bay Packers play the Raiders in Oakland, Calif.

Kay is survived by her husband, Randy; a son, Carl of Dallas; a sister, Ann (Bob) Linskens of Green Bay, Wis.; three brothers, Carl (Joyce) Freeman of Colorado Springs, Colo., Paul (Barb) Freeman of Hartford, Wis., and Eric (Rose) Hartzell of Ontonagon; and two nephews, Brian (Jeanie) Freeman and David Freeman; two great-nephews, Parker and Blake Freeman. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon on Friday at Redemption Hill Church in Kingsford. A memorial service will follow at noon at the church.

Pastor Ron Wolfe and Pastor Alex Tunnicliff will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in her memory.

Condolences may be expressed to the family of Kay Cleveland online at www.ernashfuneralhomes.com.
