Constance “Connie” Doda
SPREAD EAGLE, Wis. — Constance “Connie” Doda, 88, of Spread Eagle, adored mother and loving grandmother, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, Oct. 15, 2017, at Maryhill Manor in Niagara, Wis.
She was born Oct. 11, 1929, in Menominee, daughter of the late Edward and Olive (Groleau) Probst. Connie married Peter Doda on July 27, 1947, and they resided in Spread Eagle. Together they ran Swabbies Goldfish Bar for several years before opening D&B Freight Sales. Connie later worked at K-Mart for many years until her retirement.
Connie and Peter loved spending time with family and friends. They also enjoyed traveling and visited many places throughout the United States. Connie was a most precious wife, mother and grandmother and was loved so very much by her family.
She will be missed tremendously by her five children, Guy (Judy) Doda and Brent (Cindy) Doda, both of Spread Eagle, Mark (Julie) Doda of Norway, Pamela (Mike) Freeman of Spread Eagle and Roxanne Doda of Green Bay, Wis. She also leaves many grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she greatly adored; and two sisters, Nancy Mikkelson and Penny Johnston.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Peter; two brothers, Cal and Bob Probst; and two sisters, Mary Fox and Betty Kendall.
In accordance with Connie’s wishes, no services will be held.
