ROSE LESKOVIANSKY

IRONWOOD — Rose M. Leskoviansky (Lesky), 86, of Ironwood, passed away on Tuesday, Oct.10, 2017, at ManorCare Health Services in Kingsford surrounded by her family.

She was born May 1, 1931, in Ironwood, daughter of the late Francesco and Ida (Forte) Gironimi. She graduated from St. Ambrose Catholic High School in 1949, and went on to attend Gogebic Community College.

Rose married Robert Leskoviansky of Bessemer on Aug.14, 1954, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church.

Rosie’s number one priority was her family. She was a very caring daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. Rosie always had a laugh and smile to share with her family and friends. She never judged people by what they had or didn’t have. All of Rosie’s friends loved her vibrant personality and enjoyed getting together with her. In later years, Rosie enjoyed casino hopping and coffee clutching with her friends.

She is survived by a son, Brad (Nancy) Lesky of Iron Mountain; a daughter, Linda (Paul) Spigarelli of Iron Mountain; five grandchildren, Brooke (Phil) Minerick, Brett (Amanda) Spigarelli, Brandon (Meg) Spigarelli, Dakota (Maggie) Leskoviansky and Lauren Lesky; four great grandchildren, Bria Minerick, Scarlett Leskoviansky, and twins, Luca and Lydia Spigarelli. She was excited to know that she would be a great-grandmother again in November to baby Sofia. Rose is also survived by a brother, Frank (Georgie) Gironimi of Santa Rosa, Calif.; a sister, Inez Ovaska of Milwaukee; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Rose was preceded in death by a son, Robert Scott Leskoviansky.

Private family services will be held.

Arrivederci, Rose, until we meet again.

Dear Rosie, until we meet again, those special memories of you will always bring a smile. If only we could have you back for just a little while then we could sit and talk again like we used to do. You always meant so very much to us and always will, too. The fact that you’re no longer here will always cause us pain but you are forever in our hearts. Until we meet again, Christine Benny Randle, Joseph Benny and Mary Tenney.

Condolences to the family of Rose Leskoviansky may be expressed online at www.ernashfuneralhomes.com
